Verse 10: "His horses will be so many that they will cover you with dust. Your walls will tremble at the noise of the warhorses, wagons and chariots when he enters your gates as men enter a city whose walls have been broken through." ..Read verses 10-12 again and ask yourself whether it could be the men, horses, wagons and chariots in verse 10 (collectively, as an army) that were the 'they' referred to from verse 12.. Also ask yourself whether Ezekiel could have been a little more clear that there was to be a centuries-long gap between one part of his prophecy and the second part, that is referring to Greece. Such as by starting verse 12.. 'and the nations will do such-and-such a long time afterwards' or at least 'and others will at another time..' etc ?

Just had a thought when reading Data Dogs topic..
by The Quiet One in..according to the wt, adam and eve were created to live forever on earth right from the start.
two things i just thought of.. 1) one of the reasons that they were banished from the garden was so that they couldn't eat from 'the tree of life' , which would allow them to live forever.. so doesn't that mean that they were created with bodies that were going to deteriorate and die?
or would the magic fruit make them invulnerable even to gods power to destroy them?

So doesn't that mean that they were created with bodies that were going to deteriorate and die? Or would the magic fruit make them invulnerable even to Gods power to destroy them? And why had they not eaten from the 'tree of life' when it wasn't the one tree that been forbidden for them to eat from (tree of knowledge of good and bad was forbidden supposedly)? 2) If Adam+Eve hadn't sinned, they and their children would have supposedly lived forever on earth.. So there would have been nobody dying and going to heaven and no 144,000 ruling with Jesus according to the WT. Jehovah would have ruled, Jesus would never have been promoted to king and given a 'name above every other name' (only after he proved himself by being sacrificed on earth), and no humans would have experienced heavenly life.. Besides all this, why would God have 144000 humans in heaven to rule over perfect man in paradise, when Adam+Eve and their offspring would never have had/needed such human oversight? *scratches head thoughtfully*

Maybe coming from a community of people that are mainly polite+ who say little that is critical to each others faces, contributes to your being surprised at how honestly people can speak in 'the real world'.. Possibly combined with a naive view that everyone is 'christian' and 'loving' every day, like some Assembly drama.. Trust me, if you just ignore the idiotic a**wipes, the insulting braindead morons and the name-callers (see what i did there?).. you'll notice more love and care for each other(relative to the anonymity of internet communication) here on Jwn than I see in the fake smiles at any Kingdom Hall. This is the only place I can speak my mind, the rest of my life is fear and being controlled.

My chat with 2 Dubs yesterday about UN membership
by jookbeard ini live close to a resonanbly busy street, 20 odd shops banks, a train station,a couple of cafes and coffee shops etc and usually see dubs doing street work close to the station and i'm now on nodding terms with an elder who is out most days of the week and have got close to recognizing most of the hard core of about a dozen of them , i was walking out of the cafe yesterday to be greeted by a couple of newbies i'd never seen before , a scruffy short dumpy man and a fairly well presented middle aged lady, i'll try and abridge the conversation as best as i can, we must have chatted for about 15 minutes and it was all in a good mannered style;.
me " have you sold many of those this morning ?".
jw guy " oh no we dont sell them we give them away for free" (like i didn't know that).

Anyway, stick around justlookingfornow.. You're a real live wire and should add an interesting balance to things here at Jwn. You handle insults well, so you'll do just fine.. Fancy a cuppa, old bean? (I think that's what you say)

Jwjudgement site says: 'Each year, the DPI required its NGOs to sign the Accreditation Form to state who its representatives would be — to allow them to gain access to the DPI's extensive facilities at the United Nations in New York. Here we have a copy of the Accreditation Form as it appeared prior to 2002 — before the renewal process began and before the form was changed to become a renewal application.'

Here's an interesting point.. (put these quotes together) Kallam said: "It is inconceivable to me that an organization of this size and with such general competence in legal matters would be unaware that documents they had to sign each year had changed without it being pointed out to them"
